Monthly Peter Bowler Meetings

As stated in our March 17th E-News, “The Union leadership from ALPA, TWU and AFA, have been invited by American Eagle President, Peter Bowler to attend monthly meetings to review our cost. The AFA leadership will continue to attend these monthly meetings in the spirit of working together and to ensure that your voice is heard and we will keep you informed.”

We have been attending these meetings and the company has asked those who attend to sign a confidentiality agreement so we can not disclose specific details of the information they are giving us. With that said, we have heard rumors that the company has asked us to take concessions. To date, they have not asked us to do that. Given that we’ve just been through many long years of Negotiations in order to reach our current agreement, we have no immediate plans nor are we currently entertaining any thoughts of entering into concessionary Negotiation talks. According to data from our IAFA Research Department, we are in-line or below Industry Standards, with that of other carriers comparable to our size.

The following are our scheduled meetings with Peter through the year. We will continue to keep you informed if the company asks us for any type of concessions.
